There goes your own style with the new look of your sound

When the JBL Spot system first came out, people were quite amazed by the looks of this very uncanny 2.1 sound machine: it looked like almost nothing else before it even though it breathed retro styling and serious audio quality. And so it was: the Spot from legendary manufacturer JBL was a combination of most serious sound technology wrapped in a shape that offered both functionality (the rounded cabinets are the best way to deal with vibrations and stationary waves) and a sound that was simply impressive for a 2.1 system that scale.

Another strong point for the JBL Spot was the fact that it could be connected to absolutely anything that had a stereo mini jack plug: PC or Mac, MP3 players, CD or MD units, game console or even portable DVD players and thus there was one piece of tech made for everybody, regardless of their gear. Even more, for style purposes the connection cables were covered in cloth, much like the vintage ones.

Yet the coolest thing about the JBL Spot was a unique feature that allowed the owner to change the way this system looked: both subwoofer and satellites had interchangeable black or white covers that could be switched in just seconds and made your gear look radically different in an instant. This autumn brings a serious expansion for this issue: a set of completely new, artful covers that will dramatically re-shape the way your interior looks - the sound of the JBL Spot remains the same.

We're talking 7 new "flavors" for your audio system: Woodland, Graffiti, Janna Black Floral, Corporate, Purple-Gold Flower, Fuchsia and Black Tattoo, one more exquisite and nifty than the others. No matter how modern or retro could your home d?cor be, you'll doubtlessly find at least one cover set to match it, JBL almost guarantees this.

The new "flavors" of the JBL Spot are reportedly in stores already, but no official pricing was offered.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
