On a home front, Kaspersky software has been doing rather well recently, which has determined the company to expand. At the recent 10th annual partner conference held in St. Petersburg, Kaspersky let its worldwide partners in on the expansion plans, which include opening an office in Australia.

Eugene Kasperky, as cited by CRN: "We plan to open the Australian office in Q4 calendar year. I think the office will be in Melbourne, Sydney is too expensive. We have plans to be closer to our customers around the globe, so alongside the Australian office we are opening offices in Latin America and the Middle East countries to be ready for the global contracts."

Just because the company plans to inaugurate offices all over the world, it does not mean it will drop its partners, said Eugene Kaspersky. The whole purpose of these offices is to improve the collaboration and communication between the brand and its partners.

Alexey Gromyko, business development manager for Australia and New Zealand with Kaspersky, shares the same opinion as the company's CEO: "We have new management structures, new structures for partnerships and are witnessing booming achievements only a few months after the changes. It is important that we do not plan any direct business, as we value our channel." The technical and the marketing teams from Kaspersky will be more than glad to offer their support in a prompter, more efficient manner.

This is not the first time the company announces its intentions of expanding to Australia. In February 2007 Alexey Gromyko said that Australia represented a "core market" that Kaspersky needed to pay more attention to. The brand will approach this market in a cautious manner, taking it one step at a time and ensuring it continues to draw in more and more clients by offering high quality products.
