Bad news for all you suicidal lovers and for your little helpers. Today, Australia has passed new laws that condemn this practice.

Thus, all who give suicidal advices to those "in need", in need of suicide methods that is, face fees of up to $430,000. The law also targets those who use the Internet to incite others to commit suicides.

According to Reuters, Chris Ellison, the Australian Justice Minister, said that "These offences are designed to protect the young and the vulnerable, those at greatest risk of suicide, from people who use the Internet with destructive intent to counsel or incite others to kill themselves".

Japan had also confronted with the problem of Internet suicides, when dozens of Japanese killed themselves in Internet-linked group suicides.

Still, although the laws target those who advice others who are thinking of killing themselves, the problem of euthanasia is still being debated.
