Every other month or so, Wrapstar announces new models of their superbly crafted PSP and DS skins, for owners to grab and fit on their handhelds so they can match their gaming habits to the look of their gaming system. This month however, the company has teamed up with D3 Publisher to produce Ben 10 skins for a promotional campaign in Australia. The Ben 10 giveaway skins were awarded to purchasers of the new Ben 10 game for the DS, following an exclusive deal with Australia's Toys 'R' Us.

According to an official report, some 600 Ben 10 copies were sold in the game's first week out in the wild, "more than any other format or retailer down under," the piece reads. Wrapstar has produced other promotional skins in the past, for pre-order campaigns including products for EA's My Sims Atari's Arthur and The Invisibles and Tamagotchi. And the company doesn't just deal with skins for handhelds PSP and DS, but also rolls out face plates for iPods.

"Wrapstar's Promotional skins allow publishers and developers to brand gaming machines with their titles", said Wrapstar Managing Director Max Haddow. "These act as a constant reminder to the user as well as having the added benefit of continual advertisement of their brands to a wider audience. The benefits of using our skins as an added value, pre-order campaign or bundle deal has seen huge uplifts in sales of the software, particularly with Ben 10".

Wrapstar skins don't just customize devices, to make them look good, but also refresh and protect them. Coming in an array of designs and colors to suit all kinds of gaming machines, the skins are precisely cut to ensure a snug fit, being crafted from the same material (top-notch cast-vinyl) to ensure fuss-free application and removal. Also, Wrapstar offers a unique adhesive that leaves no sticky goo behind upon the removal of the skin.
