Atiya Wilkinson went missing three years ago, in 2009, when she was kidnapped by mother Gemma's ex-partner Razwan Anjum. Anjum claimed to take the child on holiday in Pakistan, however failed to return her to her mother, in Ashton-under-Lyne, UK.

Atiya was three years old at the time, and the police have used aging software to estimate that this is what she would look like today. The mother is asking for anyone that could provide information on the whereabouts of her baby girl to come forward.

“When I close my eyes I see her. I say good night to her every night before bed. I pray she's okay. Everything is affected by it. I can't sleep. [...] We haven't celebrated her birthday since she went missing but I've bought her presents each year - they are waiting for her to open when she comes home,” her tearful statement reads, as relayed by the Manchester Evening News.

Anjum is refusing to detail his trip or confess to where he left Atiya, even after being jailed four times for his lack of cooperation. He claims to have given her to a mystery man using the name Khan, who was never identified.

There is a strong possibility that the child was sold by human trafficking groups, on the black market. Atiya could be anywhere by now, from Iran to Pakistan. The best case scenario is that she finds herself in Europe or the United States, with an adoptive family.
