Asus didn?t settle for two notebooks today and announced it has developed a miniature PC, the R1F, that is also featured in the manufacturer?s Ultra Secure list and measures 31.7 x 23.2 x 3.5cm, weighing only 1.98 kg.

Therefore, the most important capabilities are the Fingerprint Authentication, Trusted Platform Module and Exclusive ASUS Security Protect Manager, which enables the user to setup the authentication requirements needed for a data access. As it is a tablet PC, it comes with a DigiPen stylus with an eraser end and mouse control buttons and includes the popular InfoPen software, informs Mobile Whack.

Another great achievement of the manufacturer is the 180 degrees viewing angle, meaning that the LCD screen can be positioned anyway you want. But R1F?s 13.3? WXGA LCD also sports a technology that brightens up the images displayed ? the Video Intelligence Technology. Similar to the notebooks, the tablet PC is also customizable; as you can choose any of Intel Core Duo processor (it also includes the Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset). Moreover, you can also configure your system and decide on one of the SATA 80/100/120 GB hard drives.

?It uses Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition as its Operating System and has a swappable ODD/ Super Multi drive. Some other features found on the R1F series include, 3x USB, 1x Express Card, 1x 8-in-1 Card-Reader, 1x Fingerprint Reader, 1x TPM (optional), 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR,? further writes Mobile Whack.
