After announcing its Asus Transformer Pad Android tablet in the UK, the PC manufacturer is now bringing the slate to the American market. It’s available for pre-order from ExcaliberPC, but other retailers will be added soon to the list.

The Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T features a 10-inch screen with an impressive 2560 x 1600 pixel density. Unlike its predecessors, the new Transformer gets its life force from a fast Nvidia Tegra 4 ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The standard microSD card slot, HDMI out, and two cameras can also be found. The snappers support Miracast wireless display technology.

Asus boasts that the battery will keep the juices pumping in your tablet for up to 13 hours. As with previous models, there’s the option of adding a keyboard dock to the tablet, which in turn will bring 4 more extra hours of fun.

The 32GB version will retail for $499 / €361, and if you purchase it with a keyboard it will cost you $599 / €433. There’s also a 64GB model but, so far, no information has been made available about pricing.
