Asus announced four brand new mobile computer systems that are aimed not at providing the very best and latest the hardware industry has to offer but rather to deliver a significant increase in portability and style. These new Asus mobile computing devices range from the fully fledged notebook systems to an ultra portable device.

The first of the new line of Asus made products is the U6S that comes with a 12.1 widescreen display that uses the LED backlight technology in order to decrease weight and increase the battery life that according to the news site dailytech, can reach an impressive five hours when talking about a single six cell battery. On the hardware side, the Asus U6S comes powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor and it uses 2GB of DDR2 random access memory.

On the graphics side the presence of the Nvidia made discrete graphics card that is powered by the GeForce 8400M GPU with 128MB of dedicated video memory should enable users to experience a reasonable level of performance even in the most demanding games. Other features of this new Asus product include a 250GB 5400rpm hard disk drive, a wireless interface card compliant with the 802.11a/g/n standards and Bluetooth as well as 3G HSDPA.

The next Asus product in line is the F8S laptop that comes equipped with a 14.1 inch widescreen, while also being powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo central processing units, but this time a T7500 model, that too is backed up by the presence of 2GB of DDR2 random access memory, as well as 1GB of Intel Turbo Memory. The graphics department is handled by the Radeon HD 2600 mobile GPU that comes integrated into a discrete graphics solution with 512MB of dedicated video memory. On the storage side the Asus F8S laptop comes with a 250GB hard disk drive and it also incorporates a wireless controller compatible with the 802.11a/g/n protocols and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.

The Asus G2S Extreme Limited Edition is the last of the newly launched line of products and it comes packing a 17.1 widescreen display while being powered by a 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo X7800 processor. Like all other new Asus laptops, this one too comes with 2GB of DDR2 random access memory as well as 1GB of Intel Turbo Memory that should boost responsiveness. On the graphics side the G2S is equipped with a Nvidia GeForce 8600 powered card as well as a 200GB hard disk drive, a DVD burner, a TV tuner and wireless networking interface.
