With just one more day left until the GeForce GTX 590 becomes official, retailers have started to receive the first card batches from Nvidia's partners, and one Chinese retailer has even posted online some pictures of Asus' version of the dual-GPU graphics solution.

Even though the GTX 590 is Nvidia's fastest card to be released yet, Asus has decided to go with its regular retail packing that uses a green box which houses the card and all of its accessories.

As for the card itself, this follows Nvidia's reference design and bears a high diameter fan placed right in the middle of a black plastic shroud.

The fan is used to cool the two separate vapor chambers that sit on top of the two GF110 cores and also gets to cool the 10-phase power supply that is placed right in the middle of the PCB.

Turning the graphics card over, reveals that Nvidia has chosen to go with two separate backplates that cover the area behind each GPU as well as the eight memory chips placed on the back of the printed circuit board.

No details regarding the card's specifications were posted together with the pictures, but from what we know until now, the two GF110 cores used pack together no less than 1024 CUDA processors, 128 texturing units, 96 ROP units as well as dual 384-bit memory buses. Each one of these will be connected to 1.5GB of video buffer.

Clock speeds are set at 612MHz for the two GPUs and the GDDR5 memory runs at 855MHz (3420MHz effective).

The card also features three dual-link DVI video outputs as well as a mini-DisplayPort connects and is compatible with the Nvidia's 3D Vision technology.

Pricing has been set at 6499 Yuan, which translates into $992 US, but this seem to be artificially inflated as the same Asus GTX 590 graphics card was listed just a few days ago by a Canadian retailer at CA$799.

Yesterday, pictures, as well as specs, of Gigabyte's version of the GTX 590 were also leaked online. (via PC In Life)
