The hardware producer company Asus just launched its newest F8 notebook series that combines good design characteristics with high end hardware solutions and the "revolutionary Infusion technology". An all powerful mobile computing platform, this latest notebook from Asus is centered around an advanced graphics solution and it offers an unprecedented level of "robustness, state-of-the-art computing technologies and unique aesthetics", according to a press release by the manufacturing company.

The Asus F8 notebook is built using the "Infusion technology" manufacturing process that creates unique designs of all laptop surfaces. Because the fabrication process is laying the motifs inside the chassis itself, they will not fade in time, nor will they be easily scratched. The Infusion technology gives the F8 a new level of resilience and by looking always sleek and new, it offers great pleasure to work with. For multimedia centered users, Asus equipped the F8 notebook with a Hybrid TV tuner that takes full advantage of both digital and analog signals. Alongside the TV tuner, a card type remote control is incorporated, which allows users to control their multimedia experience even while on the move. For on-line chatting and for face to face conversation a webcam is provided that can support high resolution modes (1.3 megapixels).

The F8 notebook comes equipped to face the most demanding nowadays 3D games and CPU intensive applications as its hardware make up include top of the line Intel Core2 Duo processors (available in the T7700, T7500, T7300 and T7100 variants) backed up by the Intel PM965 chipset with DDR2 memory up to 2GB running at 533 or 667MHz and the wireless network adapter Intel 4965AGN. The high fidelity 14.1 inch widescreen display is powered by two top discrete graphics cards, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 with VRAM 512MB and HyperMemory up to 1280MB and the NVIDIA GeForce8600M GS with VRAM 256MB and TurboCache up to 1024MB.

As a storage solution, the notebook uses a SATA hard disk drive with 80, 120 or 160Gb of storage capacity. Rich connecting options include Bluetooth, 5 USB ports, Express card and IEEE 1394, as well as an 8-in-1 card reader. Using a 6-cell battery pack, the Asus F8 notebook weighs 2.59kg.
