Computer maker Asus was rumored roughly a month ago to be on its way to bring to the market in the United States a new mobile phone, one that would run under Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform, and which has just made another appearance into the wild.

According to the latest news of this Windows Phone 7 smartphone, Asus is expected to push it to the market with an AMOLED screen on the front, and with a 5.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The new info on Asus E600 comes from Omnitechnews.net (via WMPoweruser), which notes that the device might resemble a lot with the ZuneHD.

But this is not all, as the new mobile phone also made an appearance over at the Vietnamese Tinhte.vn forum, where some more details on its specifications emerged.

The Windows Phone 7 handset is expected to land on shelves with aluminium on the front, and plastic on the back, and with hard buttons, not touch ones, as with other mobile phones running under Microsoft's mobile platform.

Other pieces of info on this device include the fact that it would include a composite USB port, through which it would offer video out, though it would require an application to switch the function of this port.

These details on Asus E600's specs were accompanied by a video with the mobile phone, along with some better photos with it.

Previously, the handset was said to come to the market with a 4-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash.

The Windows Phone 7 device was also said to pack a 1300mAh battery inside. Moreover, it was reported to pack support for AT&T's 3G network.

For the time being, no specific details on the mobile phone's arrival on the market emerged, nor on the price tag it might feature when available, but more should surface on it in the near future, so stay tuned.
