Asus has recently announced that it will start selling two new all-in-one desktop computers in Europe that are based on Intel's second-generation Core processors and feature discrete graphics cards build by Nvidia.

Both AIO systems are built around 24-inch LED backlit displays that have a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and come with multi-touch capabilities.

The main difference between the two is the processor used as the slower model comes paired with an Intel Core i3-2100 processor that includes “only” two computing cores with Hyper-Threading support, while the older model features a Core i5-2400S with four processing cores.

The fast Intel CPUs are paired together with either 4GB or 6GB of system memory, while storage is provided by a 1TB hard drive with a spindle speed of 7200RPM.

As far as graphics is concerned, Asus has decided to go with something more powerful than the Intel HD GPU installed inside the Sandy Bridge processors and opted for an Nvidia GeForce GT 540M discrete graphics card.

The rest of the configurations list includes an integrated TV tuner (DVB-T), Gigabit Ethernet networking, 802.11 b/g/n wireless, a multi-format card reader, a 1.3MP webcam, a pair of 3W speakers with Asus's SonicMaster technology and a DVD burner.

The faster model swaps this optical drive for a Blu-ray combo unit, but both models get the same 1.3MP webcam as well as a pair of USB 3.0 ports and HDMI and VGA video outputs.

The two Asus ET2410INTS all-in-one computers have been so far announced in Europe where they will retail for €999 and €1,199, respectively.

Asus bundles the two AIO systems with a keyboard, mouse and external power brick, so the desktops should be up and running in no time. (via Sat und Kabel)
