Gamers will get a grappling hook and train combat

It seems that the team at Ubisoft is already hard at work on a new entry in the Assassin's Creed series, called Victory, which is set to be launched in 2015 and will take place in a carefully reconstructed version of London, with a new set of mechanics to capture the attention of long-term fans.

The information comes from Kotaku, which has obtained details about the title and images taken from its current version via a leak coming from an unspecified source inside the company.

The game will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, and the Xbox One from Microsoft and it seems that no last-gen title will be offered in 2015.

Development duties are being handled by Ubisoft's Quebec studio, and Assassin's Creed Victory is designed to use the same core concept as this year's Unity, but with some tweaks to the core mechanics.

The new title will feature a lot of climbing, mysterious figures that reveal missions, and the Templars are still the main targets that gamers will take on.

A new grappling hook can be used to quickly move around the city and it seems that gamers can use trains as a convenient way to explore London and to quickly get away when a situation gets tense.

Assassin's Creed Victory will allow gamers to fight on vehicles and the leaked images also suggest that the combat mechanics that have underpinned the series so far are being tweaked.

Ubisoft has reacted to the leak by saying that "It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public."

Assassin's Creed Victory needs to be better tested than Unity

Ubisoft also says that at the moment its focus is on making sure that Assassin's Creed Unity is the best experience it can be as quickly as possible, which means that more patches will be delivered in the coming weeks.

When the game was first introduced, it was affected by major performance issues on all platforms and plenty of gamers reported that many characters lacked an actual face.

The team working on the title will probably use the work it has put in as a way of making sure that Victory is not affected by the same problems when it is launched in 2015.
