Assassin’s Creed Unity is without a doubt one of Ubisoft’s biggest blunder and the French company seems to have resigned in defending its newest title in the AC franchise.

The first Assassin’s Creed game exclusively available in next-gen consoles, Unity was, and still is, filled with brutal bugs and graphical glitches that make it a strong candidate for the worst game launched this year. More on that in our Assassin's Creed Unity review.

In order to make things right for those who purchased not only the game but also the Season Pass, Ubisoft decided to offer a free game from its lineup of AAA titles.

Basically, given the fact that Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass was canceled, those who purchased it until November 25 will be entitled to receive a free game from a list announced by Ubisoft.

That was confirmed a few weeks ago, but Ubisoft did not mention when exactly players would receive their free games. In an update for the announcement confirming the deal, Ubisoft has just announced that those eligible for the offer will be able to redeem their games beginning next week.

No exact date has been mentioned but Ubisoft says that those entitled to receive the free game will have to follow a certain procedure in order to redeem their titles.

The free games can be redeemed by no later than March 15, 2015

First of all, the list of games that eligible players can choose from includes the following titles: The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends and Just Dance 2015.

Depending on what platform you purchased the Season Pass for, you will be able to redeem your free game differently. The only thing in common is that regardless of the platform (PC, PS4 or Xbox One), you will have to login with your uPlay account details once you have activated the Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass.

For those who purchase the game and Season Pass on consoles, there’s another alternative. Simply, log in with your PSN or Xbox live accounts and activate the Season Pass.

One more thing that Assassin’s Creed fans might want to know is that while Unity’s Season Pass has been canceled, the Dead Kings DLC which will be released soon will be available for free to all Unity owners.

Last but not least, players eligible to choose one free game from among the select list of Ubisoft titles should know that these games must be redeemed by no later than March 15, 2015. Have you made your choice yet? Which title will you choose from Ubisoft’s list of select games?
