Assassin's Creed Unity was the cover story of the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, and some scans from the September 2014 edition made their way to the Internet, revealing a bunch of new and important details regarding Ubisoft's upcoming action adventure title.

The game has been in development since 2010, since after the launch of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, when the original dev team split up and started working on different projects.

The game supports skill leveling, and you can choose to drop points in stealth, combat of navigation, depending on your preferred play style.

Players will also have the option to customize their pants, boots, forearms, chest, hood and masks, and the armor has some elements (like the hood) that make you blend in better with the crowds, as well as a belt that allows you to carry more items.

For coop, Ubisoft is using a technique similar to the one utilized for Watch Dogs' multiplayer, where you are always playing as Arno Dorian, the game's protagonist, and everyone else looks like other Brotherhood members, but in their game they are playing as Arno and you are the miscellaneous Brotherhood member.

Additionaly, Ubisoft also reveals that you won't be exploting the rapid descend ability by using haystacks as much as you did before, and that there are no more auto-fail missions, as everything is dynamic and doesn't follow a pre-existing scripts, thus resulting in you no longer desynchronizing for being spotted or not skinning a wolf.

The missions allow for quite a bit of freedom, and there will be changes and consequences depending on your actions. You will be able to also use the buildings' interiors; for instance, you can always run into a building and attempt to hide, but on the flip side, there might always be a guard you're not aware of hidden in a building too.

Furthermore, guards will no longer automatically know your whereabouts once altered, and they will now search your last-known location for clues, which will in turn allow you to get away or flank them, but combat has been made much harder to compensate.

Ubisoft says that you might be able to handle 2 or three guys, but when there are 5 or more enemies, you will find yourself overwhelmed, and you have to really pay attention to what weapons enemies are using in order to make the best decisions during fights.

Assassin's Creed Unity is currently scheduled to come out on October 28, for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
