The heroes you embody throughout the Assassin's Creed series play a crucial role in the games' success, and the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity is no different.

Their tales become your adventures, and the way they see the world allows you to assume a different identity and live a different life while immersed in Ubisoft's creations.

Arno Dorian, the protagonist of the upcoming entry in the consecrated franchise, is a mysterious individual, and his personality will breathe life into the newest of adventures, set in the wake of the French Revolution.

Although Ubisoft revealed some details regarding Arno Dorian's backstory a while back, the character still retains an aura of mystique, and an interview with the man who will bring him to life, actor Dan Jeanotte, sheds more light on who hides behind the hood.

The actor describes the story of the upcoming action-adventure video game as being "complex" and "emotional," with the potential to enthrall players and make them a part of the recreated 18th century Paris.

"When I read the script, I was really impressed with the dedication to telling that kind of emotional story; to the commitment of the writer and Ubisoft in general to tell this kind of complex, emotional story. It's not simple. It's not black and white," Jeannotte reveals in the interview with Ubisoft.

He says that he loved wearing the motion capture suit, as it allowed him to "really embody the character physically," and that it helped him deliver a more convincing performance due to being able to "really feel who [Arno] was."

The power of the next-gen platforms helped the development team work on delivering the most impressive Assassin's Creed experience yet, and not just from a visual point of view. Players will be able to enter some of the buildings on the map and they will have an unprecedented level of freedom when it comes to what path to take in order to achieve their mission objectives.

The upcoming title will be the first in the franchise to allow players to cooperatively tackle its campaign missions, paving the way for Ubisoft's plans of introducing a more robust multiplayer component to its open-world video games.

Assassin's Creed Unity is currently scheduled to come out on October 28, headed to the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.

Gamers looking for a last-gen experience have Assassin's Creed Rogue to look forward to, slated for release on November 11 for the Xbox 360 computer entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 home console from Sony.
