14 DAY TRIAL // After quite a few leaks and a period of teasing, Ubisoft has officially revealed the next game in its long-running Assassin's Creed series that's called Syndicate. Besides a pretty impressive cinematic reveal trailer, the French company has also presented a lengthy gameplay demonstration with the new action-adventure title.
Assassin's Creed games have delivered some pretty interesting experiences throughout the years, and ever since the franchise entered a yearly release cycle, thanks to Ubisoft's many global studios, the series has reached new heights in terms of sales and popularity.
Unfortunately, with last year's Unity, the franchise lost some of its credibility due to many glitches and bugs that plagued the title at launch.
Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is official
Now, Ubisoft has officially revealed to the world the next big entry in the series, in the form of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.
The title was rumored for quite some time and Ubisoft effectively confirmed quite a lot of that speculation with its teaser campaign that started last week.
The full reveal cinematic trailer and a pretty lengthy gameplay demonstration video are available for your viewing pleasure, detailing the setting, the protagonists, the core focus, and the many new mechanics present in the action-adventure experience.
Lots of new things are included
First up, Syndicate stars two protagonists, Jacob and Evie Frye, who want to resurrect the Assassin brotherhood by riling the street gangs in Victorian-era London against the Templars, who want to exploit the working class.
Players will be able to fight using refined mechanics, replacing the traditional sword with a hidden dagger, as well as plenty of other easily concealable items.
The open world is filled with new ways of getting around, such as carriages that can be driven around the streets of London, and a core focus will be on gang-on-gang combat.
Ubisoft confirms that Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is coming as a single-player experience on PS4 and Xbox One on October 23. The PC version has a loose fall 2015 release period, so expect it to arrive after that time.
