Ubisoft has mentioned through a special letter addressed to GameStop managers that it’s going to reveal a Season Pass offer for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 experience, which guarantees access to episodic add-ons that will be released after the game’s launch.

Assassin’s Creed III is one of Ubisoft’s biggest games of the year and the French company is heavily promoting it through special videos as well as many different collector’s editions that are available for pre-order all over the world.

The company will soon start offering a special Season Pass for the game, as a letter sent to GameStop managers, via Kotaku, mentions that the company is forming a team to work only on downloadable content for the new game.

"We are currently in the process of creating a complementary development team that will begin working on post-launch episodic content to continue the Game of the Year experience that Assassin's Creed 3 will undoubtedly deliver. With a dedicated team specifically to this content we plan to set the bar for quality DLC in our industry," the letter reads.

In order to ease the access to the DLC, a special Season Pass will be available for pre-order right alongside the game, according to Ubisoft.

"We know you're familiar with the 'Season Pass' concept and, beginning shortly, we'll start to take pre-orders of our very own."

The letter also thanks GameStop employees for heavily promoting the game and already reaching massive numbers of pre-orders for the new title. Ubisoft also hopes that the Season Pass mechanic will drive more people to the franchise and to GameStop stores.

As of yet, the French publisher hasn’t commented on the letter, but you can expect some official announcement to be made in the very near future.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is out at the end of October on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and towards the end of the year on the PC and Nintendo Wii U.
