The development team at Ubisoft announces that it has already posted an important day-one patch for Assassin’s Creed 3, which will be automatically added to the game when it is launched as long as their home console is connected to the Internet.

The developers say that, “This day one update is designed to optimize your player experience and is highly recommended.”

Most of the elements included in the day-one patch are bug fixes, with a full list offered on the official website, and some of them sound very serious.

It seems that quite a few of the missions in the game, ranging from the tutorial to others like The Surgeon and Return to Abstergo, have problems in the packaged version of the game and there are also problems linked to a stuck camera and to the spawning of various NPCs.

The Assassin’s Creed 3 path also fixes some potential crashes and allows the player to complete some side missions that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Ubisoft has not explained how the significant bugs it mentions have managed to escape the Quality Assurance process at the publisher, but the company reacted well by making sure that it had a patch prepared for launch.

The game is now out on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 in North America and will be launched tomorrow in Europe.

Those who plan to play Assassin’s Creed 3 on the PC will have to wait until the end of November and a version for the new Wii U home console will be offered when the new hardware is officially launched.

The new game takes the player to the American Revolution era and gives them a chance to fight against the British, explore the towns of the era, engage in naval warfare and meet some of the most prominent figures of the new American state.
