Two Altairs, guards humping everything around... patch anyone?

You gotta love them naughty glitches. This one has been declared the funniest on PlayStation 3 to date. It's well known by now that Ubisoft's stealth-action title Assassin's Creed is packed full with glitches - one of them even allows players to control two physically existent Altairs and kick the crap out of everyone on screen just like Hercules and Iolaus, fighting side by side. But a glitch where a character rubs himself against a wall like that... I don't know, it almost looks on purpose on behalf of the developing team.

Assassin's Creed is a next-gen stealth third-person action title developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The game merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change. The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. The player, Altair, is faced with stopping the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict.

According to Jade Raymond, the game's Executive Producer, players basically have to eradicate corruption in the line of high-ranked personalities throughout Jerusalim, Damasc and Acre.

"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts", Jade Raymond said, at the time Assassin's Creed reached Gold status. "This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun."

A while back, towards the end of November to be precise, word on the web was that the game's developers were coming up with a patch for the game, not for bugs, but for instability and freezing issues, all this while guards in Assassin's Creed were humping tables. They didn't know how to hump walls back then. Now they do. Think there are enough glitches to convince Ubisoft to roll out a fix already?

On the other hand, why would they? Assassin's Creed surprises us every day and no one seems to be complaining. After all, as long as a glitch doesn't affect gameplay, it's actually quite fun. This video is a bit old, but it doesn't hurt to have a laugh.
