The amazingly popular Asphalt 8: Airborne has just received its monthly content update on Windows Phone and Android platforms, three weeks after it got updated on iOS.

This update brings the same new features and improvements that were included in the iOS version last month, so if you have read about that update, then you already know what's coming to you. But for those out of the loop, here is a short recap of what's new in this update.

First of all, the latest version of Asphalt 8: Airborne brings a brand-new location, the island of Tenerife, which players will have to master by racing on 4 intense new tracks.

Furthermore, the update adds 8 new cars, including the Lamborghini Aventador and Audi R8 LMS Ultra. The rest of the 6 cars aren't mentioned, but developer Gameloft promises they will be arriving in the next few weeks.

Car decals enable players to customize their rides

But that's not all. According to developers, Asphalt 8: Airborne players will now be able to show off their unique style with new, exclusive decals, custom options.

Last but not least, Gameloft announced that it completely revamped multiplayer events. This means that Asphalt 8: Airborne players will now be able to compete against up to 12 players, instead of 8, in more challenging events “for more pumped-up rewards.”

We expect another major update next month, which is likely to be launched on iOS first, and probably on Windows Phone and Android a few weeks later.

You can now download Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up.

For Android users, the game can be downloaded via Google Play store for free. It should run smoothly on all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
