At this time, Google is the most powerful search engine on the Internet, but there are some other search technologies that are continuously trying to challenge it by providing useful and attracting functions. As you surely know, Yahoo is the main rival for Google, providing a lot of similar products that are targeting almost the same category of users. Probably the best example is represented by the mail solutions provided by the two companies that are aiming to attract more and more users looking for a powerful service to allow them to send and receive messages quickly, easy and secure. The battle for the best search engine on the Internet is completed by Ask.com, an interesting search technology that provides powerful functions to help you find exactly what you were looking for.

As you know, Google owns the most popular advertising platforms in the entire world, allowing users to advertise or earn money using the products provided by the search giant. It seems like the products are continuously attracting Internet giants because Microsoft advertised some time ago using the AdWords service developed by Google. This time, Search Engine Land reported an interesting triangle sustaining that Ask.com advertises on Google using Yahoo. The procedure is simple: when a certain user types yahoo.com on the Google search box, the first result returned is a website linking to Ask.com.

"It's a search for yahoo.com on Google, bringing up an ad from Ask.com. Ask -- going after Yahoo users who are searching for Yahoo at Google. It's a pretty popular query, actually. I wrote recently about how Yahoo is one of the most popular search terms on Google, even above some of the terms that were originally mistakenly reported by Google as the most popular last year. More recently, Yahoo was even found to have more queries that perennial top search "sex" on Google," Search Engine Land reported.
