When it rains, it pours, and this couldn’t be more true for Disney favorite Miley Cyrus right now. Despite having already apologized for what was described as a racially offensive photo of hers that got leaked on the Internet, the singer is now again in the middle of a controversy as a class action suit has been filed in Los Angeles, asking from her no less than $4 billion dollars in damages.

According to several media outlets, Lucie J. Kim claims to represent “more than 1 million Asian Pacific Islanders who live in L.A. County,” all of whom have been deeply offended by the Miley Cyrus photo making the rounds on the Internet, in which she can be seen slanting her eyes. Mocking Asians should come at a price, Mrs. Kim believes, so this is why, in a court paper just filed, she is asking Miley to pay.

On the premise that each of the 1 million people she represents should be awarded at least the minimum for a civil rights violation, which means $4,000, Mrs. Kim is asking Miley to pay $4 billion in damages. The case stands, she claims, especially in the context in which Miley was clearly aware that such a photo would reach millions of people worldwide because of her popularity and thanks to the media, court papers hold.

Miley “knew or should have known that her image would be publicly disseminated via the media, which Cyrus knew focused on her private life, specifically TMZ.” Mrs. Kim points out in the court documents, further alleging that the singer’s “I’m just a kid defense” simply does not work. That is like Paris Hilton saying she is just a kid, Mrs. Kim continues by underlining, so it would be best if the Disney star just admitted to her mistake and paid the money.

“I want to thank all of my fans for their support not only this week, but always! I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone. I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometime my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GODs ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be. Peace and love, Miles.” Miley Cyrus recently said, as means of an official apology for the offensive photo.

Representatives for the Disney singer and actress could not be reached for comment on the latest development in the photo scandal.
