Ashton Kutcher goes after Star magazine on Twitter, puts to rest cheating rumors

Ashton Kutcher recently found his name in the pages of a tabloid, in a story claiming he’d been cheating on wife Demi Moore literally under her nose, and he’s taken to Twitter to set the record straight.

The other day, Star magazine run a story citing an “eyewitness” who’d seen Ashton making out with a girl in a nightclub. It also said Demi should have seen it coming.

Celebrities rarely pay heed to publications like Star but Ashton is determined to take action against it, as he says in two of his most recent tweets.

“I think Star magazine calling me a ‘cheater’ qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees,” the actor writes on Twitter, announcing his intention to see the matter to court.

“STAR magazine – you don’t get to stand behind ‘freedom of the press’ when you are writing fiction,” Ashton adds a few hours later.

The original story in the tabloid said Ashton had been out in Los Angeles clubbing, when he hooked up with a “hot young blonde,” with whom he started making out outside a bathroom.

“Ashton had this gorgeous girl pinned against the wall, and he was totally making out with her. I was shocked to see him sucking face with a girl who obviously wasn’t Demi,” a “source” told star.

Apparently, the whole thing happened at Madeo, one of LA’s hotspots. Moreover, Demi should have seen this coming because her friends had warned her before she got married, the same insider claimed.

“All along, Demi was told it would never work, that he’s going to cheat. When she finds out that it happened, she’ll be devastated,” Star wrote, citing the same unnamed insider.

As of now, the weekly has not responded to Ashton’s threat of taking the matter to court. The actor’s followers seem to agree with him, with some even telling him he should pursue this legally.
