14 DAY TRIAL // After almost two years after filing for divorce, Ashton Kutcher is legally a “free” man. Radar Online confirms that his divorce from Demi Moore has been pronounced final, which means that he might soon be making an engagement announcement.
Shortly after the split from Demi, Ashton started dating his former co-star and good friend Mila Kunis and, for the past several months, there’s been a lot of speculation on whether he would not propose to her once his divorce became final.
Just yesterday, rumors that Mila was pregnant with the couple’s first child also started picking up speed.
Unlike few other celebrity divorces (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ speedy one is the first that comes to mind, as it was finalized in days), Ashton and Demi repeatedly disagreed over money during procedures, as she was reportedly trying to get a share of the money he made after they had separated, on the grounds that they were still married.
At the beginning of the month, news broke that they had finally reached a financial settlement and that, while Demi didn’t get to have her way, Ashton still was “very generous” towards her as far as money is concerned.
Radar cites unnamed sources saying that he and Mila desperately want to start a family, so a marriage proposal probably took place already, which means the engagement announcement should follow.
“Ashton has been getting a lot of pressure recently from his family who have been asking whether he and Mila intend on having children. Ashton has made no secret of the fact that he wants to have a baby and he’s told his family that they’re not taking any ‘precautions’ against having a baby. In other words, he and Mila are ready to be parents,” the spy says.
“They don’t really care if marriage comes before baby, in fact, they don’t think they have to be married to have a child,” the insider continues, adding that they would prefer it if they were.
