14 DAY TRIAL // Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore were seriously booed by photographers at a fashion event in Brazil during Fashion Week after they showed up for it about 3 hours late. Video of it is embedded at the end of the article.
Yahoo! News reports that the celebrity couple was in Brazil for Ashton to put in an appearance at the Colcci fashion show, where he walked on the catwalk with designer Jeziel Moraes.
Despite their good intentions – presumably to raise awareness for the Colcci fashion house – the two A-listers were almost three hours late, which infuriated photographers waiting for them on the red carpet.
As the video below will show, the photographers started booing them the moment they set foot on the red carpet, but that seemed to do very little in terms of making Ashton and Demi lose their poise.
On the contrary, they continued posing for pictures and smiled all the way throughout the media frenzy.
“Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore have been booed by photographers at Sao Paolo Fashion Week, after leaving them waiting for three hours,” Yahoo! reports.
And it wasn’t just the photographers who had a bone to pick with Ashton Kutcher, since industry people also saw his coming over there with less than kind eyes.
“I thought there was too much fuss over Ashton Kutcher, who only came here to appear once,” fashion consultant Christiane Guerra is quoted as saying.
Granted, there are also those who believe Kutcher was very kind to accept the invitation, which he honored even if he was so late.
“This was great [Kutcher’s participation]. This shows the growing influence of Brazilian fashion worldwide and we see interest in Brazil rising overseas. It’s a very interesting thing,” architect Andre Moraes says.
Photographers at the event certainly didn’t think of this in this way, judging by their reaction when Ashton and Demi finally arrived. Check out the video below.
