Sly, just let it go...

Why is Sly trying to beat a dead horse? After five awful movies plus a recent remake in the same Rocky series, Sly Stallone has decided to try out the video games market. Apparently, this new Rocky movie will be accompanied by a new video game courtesy of Ubisoft.

Gamespot reveals that Ubisoft confirmed this Sly Stallone game will be called Rocky Balboa and will be released on PSP at the same time with the game. The publisher also confirmed that the game will follow the storyline of the game.

In Rocky Balboa - the game - we see a retired Rocky, mourning Adrian. Rocky finds himself in a difficult situation with his faithful wife passed away and his grown son too busy to visit. Because his life is empty, when presented with the chance to fight Mason "The Line" Dixon, an upcoming talent in the world of professional boxing, he accepts without hesitation.

As far as I can tell from Gamespot screenshots, the game also sees Rocky fighting adversaries from all Rocky films, including Clubber Lang (Mr. T) and the Soviet Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren). So if you want to try out the game you will not have to wait much because it will come out a short time after the next Rocky movie is released, 22nd of December to be exact.

In reality, the whole plot of both the game and the movie are just idiotic. Come on! A 60 year-old boxer? Where's the fun in beating a 60 year-old? And if Rocky wins (as he will surely do) who will buy that a 60 year-old can knock out a boxer young enough to be his grandson?
