Hadfield is heading back to Earth later today, after five months in space

Astronaut Chris Hadfield is heading home, as his five-month stay aboard the International Space Station is essentially over. But he's not going back down without leaving us with a gift, and what better gift than a song.

Not just any song, but a cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity, a great match considering the circumstances. But it's more than just a cover; Hadfield actually went through the trouble of making a decent looking music video in space.

This isn't the first song he recorded in space, but it is the first one he did inspired by the Reddit AMA he held a few months back. In fact, he posted about the song on Reddit itself, completing the circle.

There should be a few more videos from Hadfield showing up in the next few weeks or months, and maybe even a couple of more photos today, but those should be it as Hadfield is set to climb aboard the Soyuz capsule that brought him up and land back on Earth later today.
