This impressive video might make you change your priorities

American humorist and online performance artist Ze Frank wanted to convey the deep and depressing message that life is too short to waste it on useless activities and things that don't matter, and he did it on a very unusual way – using jelly beans.

He created an amazing video in which he tried to paint a picture of the average American life span. For that, he took into account factors such as sleep, travel, eating and working. He took a huge pile of jelly beans, 28,835 to be more precise – which is the number of days the average American lives, and started to take away smaller or bigger quantities of jelly beans to symbolically represent how a person spends large chunks of their lives.

We get to see how many days we spend doing things that are meaningless, and how much of our life they actually represent when quantified.

The most important part comes at the end, when we realize the jelly beans vanish pretty quickly, and the relatively small pile that's left shows the little time we dedicate to things that we really love.

So, if you used to think that you have plenty of time to do what you really want, this clip might change your perspective a little bit and make you shift your priorities.
