Microsoft’s Art of Touch project managed to attract hundreds of visitors to give design a try and come up with unique content, all available with a few simple mouse gestures. The project was launched back in October, and has become highly popular, considering the number of visitors.

Not to mention that Microsoft also offered prizes for those who would come up with unique works on the project’s website. Every week, Microsoft would recognize the most popular design creations with these prizes.

However, the company also considered that it was high time to reward the best creation for the United States, and chose Rose Saxena’s work for that.

She is featured on the aforementioned Art of Touch website, and those who would like to have a closer look at her creations should go there.

Rose Saxena, the United States grand prize winner of the Art of Touch Project, created the most popular work of art out there, Microsoft explains.

“Our winner scored a sweet prize package too, including an Explorer Touch Mouse, a Samsung Series 9 laptop with Windows 7, a Lifecam Cinema Webcam, and Microsoft Office Professional 2010,” the Redmond-based company stated.

“Rose also gets to enjoy her masterpiece on a custom laptop skin and a 36”x24” wall decal created by Zazzle.”

The best part of the deal is that the project did not end. There are still weekly prizes to give away, and people are invited to continue visiting the website.

“But guess what, we are still giving away weekly prizes! So try your hand at the Art of Touch today, and get your friends to vote for you. It works. Just ask Rose” Microsoft states.

Those who will visit Art of Touch will still have the chance to come up with their own masterpieces. Then, they will just have to get people to vote for them, and they will be able to win available prizes.

Not to mention that the contest is being rolled-out to more countries in the coming months, so that more people will get the chance to share their creations on Art of Touch.

As for Rose Saxena, we should note that she was born in Brazil, and that she has lived in a variety of places throughout Canada and the US.

“While not a native Northwesterner, she is inspired and mesmerized by its natural beauty and grandeur. Saxena enjoys venturing out to explore new places and is an avid movie-goer,” Microsoft notes.

“As a technical program manager, she believes that using technology to express natural art and form is a perfect pairing of what can oftentimes appear to be opposing forces. In her opinion, The Art of Touch combined the two so perfectly, allowing natural beauty to be expressed on an electronic canvas.”
