Michael Madsen is a wanted man: judge issues arrest warrant for failing to pay $570,000 in child support

Actor Michael Madsen, known for his roles in Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill,” is in trouble again. An arrest warrant has been issued for him after failing to pay approximately $570,000 in child support.

This is not the first time that Madsen lands himself in troubled financial waters, but it’s actually a premiere as regards the probability of spending time behind bars for it.

TMZ reports that Madsen has failed to meet payments of child support. He also failed to show up in court, prompting the judge in charge of his case to deem him in contempt.

“Cops are on the hunt for ‘Kill Bill’ star Michael Madsen... who allegedly owes around $570,000 in child and spousal support debts, TMZ has learned,” the e-zine writes.

“According to court documents, Madsen failed to show up for a hearing in his child/spousal support case last week... so the judge found him in contempt and issued a warrant for his arrest,” TMZ reports.

Besides the money he owes in back child support, Madsen also has to worry about bail money now, when authorities apprehend him.

“If the cops catch up with Madsen it’s gonna cost him... his bail has already been set at $26,000,” the aforementioned media outlet says.

So far, no word on the whereabouts of the star. His publicist is unavailable for comment.

Michael Madsen has been married three times: first to Cher’s half sister, actress Georganne LaPiere; then to Jeannine Bisignano; now, he is with Deanna Morgan.

He has two sons with Bisignano, and has been married to Deanna since 1996.

Though known for his tough-guy roles, especially in the two Tarantino films mentioned above, Madsen is also an accomplished poet and photographer.

His poems have earned him international acclaim, perhaps more than his work in the movies has.

For updates on this, keep an eye on this space. A statement from Madsen’s camp should be made any minute now.
