Can you imagine Old Arnold running around in spandex for the “Running Man” sequel?
Can you imagine Old Arnold running around in spandex for the “Running Man” sequel?

Arnold has been too old to do movies for a couple of years now. At least, the type of action movies he used to do at the height of his glory in the mid ‘90s. The man is struggling to get his acting career back on track after his political one came to an end, but so far, things haven't been going so well for him.

Digital Spy quotes the famous actor bragging that he might do a sequel for the cult sci-fi movie “Running Man.” The former bodybuilder gushed about being asked back on the Conan franchise after all these years and compared himself with Harrison Ford who returned to Star Wars.

“Harrison Ford was recently asked to get back to Star Wars, but it's very rare to come back [after so many years],” Arnold explained and added that several of his other films were getting sequels. “They're doing a Twins sequel, to be called Triplets. I've read the first draft.”

Finally, he let loose the big bomb when he told the audience that “There's rumblings of a new Running Man movie, so it's a great honor to be asked back.”

Frankly, it might be an honor for him, but for viewers, not so much. Arnold had to be CGI-ed into the last Terminator movie because he looked too old, so imagine how he's going to look in a couple of years when filming begins on this sci-fi sequel.

No offense, but the man should focus on playing roles for his own age and maybe discover a little bit more of his range.
