14 DAY TRIAL // The official Infantry website of Argentina’s Army (infanteria.mil.ar) has been defaced by Anonymous hacker ANON_0x03.
Currently, the website has been taken down by its administrators, but while it displayed the defacement page, visitors could see information leaked by the hacker from the site’s database.
Email addresses, usernames, hashed passwords and other data was available on the defacement page, E Hacking News reports.
The hacker hasn’t revealed his reasons for targeting the website, but judging by his tweets, the attack might be a form of protest against law enforcement.
In addition to this data breach, the hacker has posted on Twitter what appear to be the administrator usernames and clear text passwords for a couple of government websites from Peru.
The passwords published by the hacker are likely valid because someone has already used one of them to deface a Peruvian government healthcare website.
