ArenaNet has announced a new Necromancer class for its upcoming online role playing game Guild Wars 2. The dark wizard will be able to use his enemies' life force to fuel powerful spells and skills and to return in a Death Shroud form when killed.

Guild Wars 2 is looking more interesting as days pass by. The three classes revealed until now and the developers' open statement that they really want to shake things up in the genre are making the title on of the most exciting releases of 2011.

Fans have a new thing to be happy about as the Necromancer class has been announced and it is looking very interesting.

The Necromancers will not use mana like in other games, but life force which will increase with every kill they achieve.

Furthermore, when the hit points run out, the Necromancer does not go into the much vaunted downed state, but in the Death Shroud, in which he can remain until his life force has been depleted or he has killed an enemy.

ArenaNet has reavealed four unique sets of skills: Wells who act as kind of aura spells around the characters' locations, Minions that can be summoned to aid the player, but also sacrificed to give the Necromancer a buff, marks that can be placed on the ground, damaging or helping those situated in their area and has the ability to inspire fear in their enemies for a short period of time.

The class can use axes, daggers and scepters in the main hand, daggers, focuses and warhorns in the off hand and a staff for both hands.

Guild Wars 2 is set to come out sometime at the beginning of 2011, but the official site of the title states that ArenaNet will not release the title unless it is finished. There will be no subscription fee involved, like in the case of the original.
