Try to see what happens when Twisted Metal meets Texas Hold'Em

Those who are into some serious poker, winning tons of cash, facing some hardcore chicks and most of all, having fun, will find in "Arctic Stud Poker Run" a great game. It can be called full-contact poker or, as others did: Twisted Metal meets Texas Hold'Em. One thing is for sure: it is more than the classic card game.

Actually it has almost nothing in common with any classic poker game judging by its gameplay. Of course, you get cards, high stakes, winning hands and so on but the most interesting part comes when you have to earn your cards. Arctic Stud Poker Run is based on the real life cross country "poker runs" in which players race from place to place picking up playing cards in an effort to win.

But here, this whole racing thing will be a little bit different from real life. The game will bring super speeds, super explosions and super fun. This means that players will meet, run away from or seek to destroy heat-seeking missiles, dynamite-filled snowmen, spell casting goblins, bullet proof long-johns and many more. Fun, in one simple word.

"Some have described 'Arctic Stud Poker Run' as 'Twisted Metal'-meets-Texas Hold 'Em, while others find it a thinking-man's free-for-all with gambling principals to add strategy, depth, and nuance to an otherwise mindless genre," said Game Developers' Game Refuge CEO Brian Colin. "We just call it flat-out fun."

ASPR allows players to drive vehicles, use different sorts of weapons or even put bounties for opponents' cards. Single player, multiplayer and a tournament elimination mode are available, we'll have no less than 37 characters to choose from and 126 levels distributed over 9 different environments. Everything will be possible starting this March, when the game is scheduled to be release for $19.99, for the PC's. The game has yet to be rated by the ESRB.
