It seems to be no end to the number of devices that are designed to run Google’s Android operating system, and the Archos Home Connect 35 is definitely one of the most interesting of these.

This small blackish device is actually a battery-powered alarm clock and internet radio that was created to become your favorite nightstand companion.

Once connected to your home network via WiFi, the Archros gadget can access over 50,000 internet radio stations and play them back using the stereo speakers included.

There’s also a custom Alarm Clock app that displays not just the time, but also weather, traffic and news updates on the Home Connect’s 3.5 inch touchscreen device as well as 4GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a front-facing VGA webcam and a microphone.

Furthermore, apps can be sideloaded from .apk files, so this can do pretty much what your smartphone can do.

The Home Connect 35 is available right now in the US with a $149 (114 EUR) price tag as SlashGear reports.
