Since it doesn't really take too many pieces of hardware to make a PC capable of playing any of today's games, there are such things as small form factor motherboards and cases, and Fractal Design has just unveiled one of the latter.

High-end systems usually use large cases, towers of mid-towers, in order to fit ATX motherboards and every other piece of hardware required.

Still, even a PC based on a SFF (small form factor) motherboard, like a mini-ITX or micro-ATX one, can be set up in such a way as to handle any games.

All it takes is for a suitably mighty processor and video board to be utilized, and one needs no more than a small case to keep everything together.

Knowing this, Fractal Design came up with the Arc mini, a so-called tower which weighs 9kg and measures 210 (W) x 395 (H) x 486 (D) mm.

Granted, this isn't the smallest of enclosures, but neither is its height meant to allow for big mainboards either.

Instead, the front and top panels are removable and pre-equipped with fan filters, while the inside of the case holds seven fan slots.

There are a few white inserts, for drive trays or PCI panels, as well as a pair of external 5.25-inch bays, for ODDs (optical disk drives) or accessories.

The inside can hold six 3.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid state drives (SSDs), as part of two trays, one of which is removable.

What's more, a top I/O panel provides three USB 2.0 ports and an USB 3.0 connector, while a pair of pre-drilled watercooling holes enable more advanced cooling solutions.

Of course, cooling is already ensured by three front 120mm fans, a similar one at the rear and a 140mm spinner at the top.

Regardless, all available information on this mini-ITX and micro-ATX motherboard-supporting product can be found here, albeit details on the price were not delivered.
