If you thought you saw everything when it comes to tablets, the following piece is here to prove you wrong.

We’re no longer surprised when we hear of the latest rugged tablet or child-friendly slate or waterproof and extremely thin model to make an appearance on the market.

But the next device we’re going to be talking about is the odd ball out. It has been designed to cater to the needs of a specific type of people, those of you who like to spend a lot of time in the bathroom, but a lot.

With this in mind, the AquaSound tablet for the bathroom has been released (as seen on TabletsMagazine). Surely, you probably haven’t heard of the brand until now, but AquaSound wants to become the industry’s leader in terms of bath stuffs.

Granted, there might be people who like to take long baths and think about the universe and the meaning of life while doing so, so AquaSound thought it would be nice if these individuals were treated with a bit of entertainment, as well.

According to the makers of the device, the AquaSound is a fully-fledged “Tablet Entertainment Center” designed as a waterproof system. Surely, there are other tablet products on the market that are waterproof, like Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, but the AquaSoud has been made to live in the bathroom and nowhere else.

The device takes advantage of IPX7 certification and also comes with a waterproof Sound Box companion, so you might as well throw a real party while you’re showering.

With AquaSound, you can see countless possibilities of entertainment, from watching a quick video/TV show to listening to music via Spotify.

The audio sound system uses Bluetooth to connect to the tab and both devices have a decent enough battery to be able to sustain a full day of use. The slate runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, so you can access the Google Play Store from it.

In terms of design, the slate has a chrome border, a stylus (if you feel like writing poetry while bubble bathing) and a standard set of earphones.

As for specifications, the slate arrives with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display and is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor fitted with 16GB of internal storage. The system relies on a 5,200mAh battery.

So if you too are a bathroom enthusiast, you should know the standalone AquaSound costs €410 / $, but if you want the Sound Box too, pricing goes up to €459 / $624. The Pro bundle also includes a digital amplifier / receiver and two waterproof celling speakers (€688 / $935).
