An Applebee's waitress from Lakewood, Colorado has met the person who had stolen her ID, after the woman showed up as a client at the restaurant where she works.

The customer was asked to show some form of identification and pulled out the server's driver's license, stolen along with her wallet two weeks before.

According to 9 News Colorado, Brianna Priddy's wallet was taken on February 13, and financial trouble followed. Her wallet contained cash and credit cards, and her driver's license was used to issue bad checks.

On February 25, a group of four walked in the diner, and Priddy was asked to serve drinks. When she prompted one of the people of the group for a form of identification, she was shocked to receive her own license.

"Four people come in, walk in, sit down. They start ordering drinks. This girl hands me my ID as a fake ID," Priddy recalls.

"You don't hand somebody their own ID as a fake," she comments.

She responded by giving back the document and calling authorities to settle the issue. Until police arrived, she tried not to show that the woman holding the ID was in trouble.

"But I didn't say anything. I handed it back to her and said sure I'll be right back with your margarita. [I] went straight to the phone, called the cops.

"I put on my server smile and tried to take care of them, but I was shaking like crazy," she describes.

Officers have arrested the 26-year-old suspect, who cannot be named at this point as the investigation is still ongoing. However, police spokesman Steve Davis mentioned that she was also carrying drugs.

"Dumb criminal! That's the first [word] that comes to mind. [...] We found some narcotics in this woman's possession, so she's in quite a bit of hot water," Davis says.
