After featuring algoriddim’s djay application in one of its newest iPhone commercials, Apple has proclaimed the title ‘iPhone App of the Week.’ The app made it on Apple's iPhone and iPod touch earlier this week.

Apple has just tweeted “The iPhone App of the Week. is djay for iPhone and iPod touch.”

“The premier DJ app (featured in Apple's iPad TV commercial!) now fits in your pocket: introducing djay for iPhone & iPod touch!” reads the app’s description.

According to its makers, “djay transforms your iPhone or iPod touch into a full-fledged portable DJ system and seamlessly integrates with your iPod library, giving you direct access to all your favorite tracks and playlists.”

The app boasts realistic interface elements and ultra-low latency converge to make it a truly professional mixing solution.

“You can perform live, record mixes on-the-go, or enable Automix mode and let djay mix your favorite playlist from your iPod library auto-magically!” says algoriddim.

The studios’ djay app has an intuitive dual turntable setup which morphs to each turntable individually, allowing users to beat-match, adjust EQs, loop, and cue with great accuracy.

algoriddim concludes, “With unprecedented ease-of-use and innovative multi-touch mixing features, djay for iPhone & iPod touch brings DJing to the next level, offering a unique experience for beginners and professionals alike—all in your pocket,”

Some of the main benefits posed by algoriddim’s djay application include direct access to iPod library; the hyper-realistic low-latency turntable interface; portrait and landscape modes; an automix mode with automatic transition control (Fade, Backspin, Reverse, Brake, and Random); automatic beat and tempo matching (BPM sync); looping (Auto, Manual, and Bounce); and live recording.
