According to Luca di Montezemolo - Ferrari's president

Being the president of a top sports car manufacturer gives you the right - even if not the credibility - to comment upon the evolution a company. And if you are Luca di Montezemolo, the president of Ferrari, that surely entitles you, as an individual and representative of all the other people that use personal computers (don't know where the last one came from, but it sure sounds to me as the right thing to write), to praise the company that Apple has become over the past few years.

We all know who Apple is and I'm 99% certain that there is no man on Earth not knowing what Ferrari is and represents - heck, if you don't know what a Ferrari is, you have probably lived too long under that rock you call home. Let's cut to the chase now. According to setteb.it, Apple got named by Montezemolo as being "revolutionary" and a "myth".

He also said (excuse my Italian please, but this is the best I can do and I really hope I don't make a mess of what the guy really intended to say): "Apple has been born out of nothing, it is now one of the most innovative companies, made a revolution, has extraordinary communication skills and is close to the young [people?]".

The reason behind such a declaration is a total mystery to me - for now - and, undoubtedly, will puzzle a lot of people. Not only does Ferrari not have any current deals with the Cupertino-based company, but it has also chosen AMD and Acer as the technology suppliers for their Formula 1 race car.

Are we going to see an Apple on the red Italian race cars any time soon? I'm pretty sure a certain Steve wouldn't mind about such an opportunity and, given Montezemolo's enthusiastic statement, he will have a pretty easy "Jobs" in signing the deal, in case the papers will come his way.

The head of Ferrari hasn't mentioned only the company founded by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, in the interview given to the TG1 Italian television, but also Ralph Lauren and Google as some of the most dynamic companies in the world as we speak.
