Carriers from each country are fighting over rights for the iPhone

Many telecom service providers in Europe are currently negotiating with Apple Rights over the distribution of the iPhone on this continent. The handset has proved to be great success in the US, which might be enough as to raise the interest of a large number of carriers on other continents too.

The iPhone will reach European market on November, this year. Choosing the right companies to work with for bringing their new mobile phone there too is an important aspect, as history has shown. For the US launch, Apple had carried long negotiations with Verizon but failed to reach an agreement. As a result, they had to stick with AT&T, which many people considered to be a bad choice. Surveys before the iPhone's launch showed that the number of potential iPhone buyers would have been considerably higher if the phone had been provided by a different carrier. It is important for them that the same thing will not happen with the European launch of their "wonder phone".

At this time, a German newspaper has shown that the iPhone will be provided by T-Mobile in this country. News have appeared firstly for this country, although Apple is making efforts to reach convenient agreements with as many countries as possible for making the device available for as many markets as possible.

News on the UK distribution of the iPhone previously showed Vodafone to be the carrier for the handset. Now, it looks like Apple has managed to come to a settlement with O2 as to bring the handset over a certain period of exclusivity. After this time, the iPhone will also come at other retailers, including Carphone Warehouse.

In France, there are high chances of seeing Orange as the main carrier to bring Apple's phone. Losing operators, such as Vodafone, are now expected to settle for bringing mobile phones capable of competing with the iPhone's performances.
