Despite its very close proximity to Logitech (at least as far as the naming is concerned), Japanese company Logitec has rolled out a very large number of interesting accessories over the years, and that's exactly the case nowadays, since Logitec has just outed an ultra-compact wireless router that has been specifically designed to work with Apple's iPad, iPhone and iPod devices. The LAN-W150N/RIP, as this model has been dubbed, has been designed for users who wish to employ their iPad or iPhone wherever they might be, even in those areas where the Internet is only available via a wired connection. For this reason, the router is extremely compact and easy to carry around, measuring just around 70mm x 56mm x 13mm and weighing around 40 grams. Plus, it comes equipped with twin rear-mounted antennas, capable of providing a radius of about 20m around it, which should prove to be quite enough for most users' needs and requirements. The wireless router uses a Wi-Fi password to encrypt the connection (encryption key), thus making it quite easy for iPhone and iPad users to access the network, as well as WPA2-PSK (AES) security for the wireless network itself. Furthermore, the Logitec router also comes packed with a few wired LAN ports, meaning that users can also employ it to connect other devices to the internet (video games consoles, multimedia players, etc.). We'll also have to mention that the new Logitec router offers quite a high level of versatility from the point of view of the power options, the LAN-W150N/RIPS featuring an AC/USB adapter, while the LAN-W150N/RIPB and LAN-W150N/RIPW are only powered via USB. All three models should arrive on the market in December, pricing being set at around 51 US dollars for the LAN-W150N/RIPS and 46 US dollars for the LAN-W150N/RIPB and LAN-W150N/RIPW models, respectively.
