Starting this year, Apple will have a new cash cow to nurture, according to Global Equities Research. Elaborating on his firm’s projections, analyst Trip Chowdhry said that the Apple wearable would be the company’s most successful product.

Apple can sustain hype for each and every one of its products, Chowdhry says. Identifying competitors’ products as “launch and forget” releases, the analyst notes that Apple’s devices are inherently different.

“Apple doesn't have the mindset of 'launch and forget,’” Chowdhry tells Benzinga. “[The] iPhone 6 was launched in September -- four months later we still talk about it,” he adds.

The hottest product release of 2015

Global Equities Research seems very confident in the success of the Apple Watch. In fact, they believe that it will be the company’s “most successful product,” solely after witnessing WatchKit picking up Steam at CES (the Consumer Electronics Show). Best of all for Apple, the analysts at Global Equities says that they have seen “where the competition got it completely wrong.”

Chowdhry expects users of the watch to download and install 100 different apps, which is certainly far-fetched, considering that the device has yet to receive its first third-party apps.

Analysts at IHS Technology add that Apple will release conservative numbers, so that it can look good when it surpasses them, which certainly sounds like their modus operandi.
