Apple announced that the Apple Watch device is now available for in-store preview and pre-order in several countries, including US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, France, and Germany.

While people will be able to purchase an Apple Watch online starting April 24, 2015, those who reside in one of the countries mentioned above can try on and experience Apple's first smartwatch device at their local Apple Store.

“We are excited to welcome customers and introduce them to Apple Watch, our most personal device yet," said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and Online Stores. "We expect that strong customer demand will exceed our supply at launch.”

You can pre-order an Apple Watch today

The good news is that customers who try on the Apple Watch today will also be able to pre-order one through the Apple Online Store. However, please note that Apple will start delivering the devices from April 24 onwards.

Apple stated that during the initial launch period of the Apple Watch device, they will be taking orders exclusively online. It is also imperative to know that if you want to try on an Apple Watch, you will have to make an appointment on the Apple website.

Three models are available for try-on, here are the prices

Three Apple Watch models are available at the moment, Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. However, the latter is available for try-on only at select stores, as it is a limited edition crafted from yellow or rose 18-karat gold alloys.

While the Apple Watch Sport variant is priced at $349 (€349/£349) and $399 (€399/£399), the Apple Watch model will available from $549 (€549/£549) to $1,099 (€1,099/£1,099). On the other hand, the Apple Watch Edition price will start from $10,000 (€10,000/£10,000).

Please keep in mind that Apple Watch requires an iPhone device. Supported iPhone mobile phones include iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. All iPhone devices must run iOS 8.2 or later.
