The latter would likely want to pay nothing, but it's ultimately up to the jury

Apple and Samsung have been at each other's throats, figuratively speaking anyway, for two years now, but their feud continues, even though the original reason (Samsung Galaxy Tab) has long since become obsolete.

Most recently, Apple moved to have Samsung forced to pay damages of $379.8 million / €282.23 million for allegedly copying key features of the iPhone and iPad.

Apparently, Samsung admitted to that much, or at least was proven to have done so, in a San Jose court (California). It still countered, though, saying that it doesn't think it's fair if it should pay more than $52 million / €28.64 million.

A jury will ultimately have to decide on the issue, although interestingly enough it won't matter much.

The real show will take place in March, 2014, when Apple will try to have some Samsung devices banned from the US.
