Apple needs an iOS Photography Software Engineer that can deliver photography applications not only for the Mac, but also for the iPad, the company’s Corporate Jobs website reveals.

A recent job listing for iOS Photography Software Engineer potentially sheds light on Apple’s forthcoming plans with the iPad 2.

The Mac maker is seeking someone who can make its tablet computers worth buying to play around with photos.

Rumors of Apple’s iPad 2 packing at least one camera should materialize, going by the description posted by Apple:

“Apple's Digital Photography team is looking for a dynamic software engineer with the drive and desire to deliver great photography applications for the Mac and iPad platforms,” the company explains.

“The Digital Photography team has delivered top applications including iPhoto and Aperture on the Mac platform,” Apple says.

The new recruit would help Apple with text rendering and editing and HTML generation for publishing and viewing photo-based content, according to the job listing.

The job posting in question also seems to corroborate rumors of Apple planning to introduce new social networking features in upcoming iOS software updates.
