Every once in a while, Apple releases driver updates for hardware generally used with Macs in working environments. It is the case of Lexmark's printers, which are highly popular around offices and big companies. The Mac maker has issued an update to the Lexmark Printer Driver for users of Mac OS X 10.5.3 or later.

According to Apple, the Lexmark Printer Driver 1.1 supersedes the latest printer drivers but includes all the recent enhancements. Apple also notes that, should you update using the Software Update mechanism (Apple Menu > Software Update), the Lexmark printer must be connected to your computer, or at least have an existing print queue on the machine.
