iStyle, the only Apple Premium Reseller on the Romanian market, today announced the opening of its biggest store yet, in the Baneasa Shopping City Mall, Bucharest (the country’s capital).

For those who aren’t very familiar with Apple terminology, a Premium Reseller “lives and breathes Mac”. This, according to the company’s very own web site. An APR is also described as “your local Apple expert.”

“They can help you choose which Mac or iPod is right for you; give you impartial advice on every aspect of your purchase; and provide Apple-certified training on many aspects of the Mac platform,” says the company run by Tim Cook.

And that’s what iStyle is after!

With an area of 260 square meters (around 2798 sq. feet), iStyle Baneasa is one of the most important projects of its kind in all of South-Eastern Europe, the store’s managers said.

iStyle invited select members of the media to a conference earlier today to get a sneak peek at the new venue before its official opening to the general population.

A typical veil of secrecy meant we had to step inside through something of a secret passageway.

Once we made our way inside, we learned that iStyle now features a special area dedicated to training and presentations for all Apple fans, as well as for anyone who is eager to join the cult. This is a first for the reseller.

There, staff will host video demos and workshops ranging from photo editing on a Mac to creating music with GarageBand, as well as doing real work with Microsoft Office for Mac.

Dora Popeneciu, General Director of iStyle România, gave a 30 minute speech about the new location, the investments that had to be made to have it built, and their hopes to attract as many Apple fanatics as possible.

Ms. Popeneciu is a sworn fan of OS X. However, she admitted to using Microsoft Office for Mac to get work done. In her own words, “Why not have the best of both worlds?”

The store has been built to the highest standards along Apple’s strict guidelines, with furniture and flooring supplied by the Cupertino, California mammoth itself.

“Even the lighting is tweaked exactly as instructed by the mothership”, said Ms. Popeneciu.

Indeed, the store looked and felt as if it had been built by Apple themselves.

“iStyle Romania is opening the biggest store in the area with one purpose: to spur direct interaction between the consumer and Apple products, which is imperative in the process of acquisition,” said Ms. Popeneciu.

At the store’s opening this Friday, March 30th, 10:00 a.m. local time, customers will get a 10% discount on all Macintosh computers, iPhones, and iPods.
