Apple is airing a new iPhone 3GS television commercial in the US. Entitled "12 Apps of Xmas," the ad features poetry and praises the newest iPhone available. Apple also suggests that owning an iPhone is great around the holidays, as the developers responsible for the apps you carry around with you are feeling generous. Posted below are the very lyrics from Apple’s latest iPhone ad.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my iPhone gave to me: Twelve cookies cooking Eleven cards a sending Ten gifts for giving Nine songs for singing Eight bells for ringing Seven slopes of skiing Six games for playing Five gold rings Four hot lattes Three flights home Two feet of snow And an app that can light up the tree.

Last month, Apple aired three new ads showing off not only the capabilities of its iPhone 3GS, but also lauding AT&T’s network. The Mac maker also confirmed at the time that there were over 100,000 applications to choose from in the App Store, for both iPhone and iPod touch. Praising AT&T’s networking capabilities, Apple’s ads showed some of the things the iPhone could do simultaneously. In addition to showing off the great features of the iPhone 3GS, two of the three spots (Multi-People, Where’s the Movie, and Gift) end with Apple asking, “Can your phone and your network do that?”

Apple also offers a direct link to iTunes, where those who watched the iPhone commercials can choose to download the apps featured in the ads. Visit Apple here to watch the new iPhone ads (available in small, medium, large and HD resolutions), and here (iTunes link) to have a closer look at the software that brings out the best in the iPhone and iPod touch.
